Today I went to a grand opening of Bangkok design book. This event took place at a traditional Thai building, Jim Thompson’s house. The book profile 32 designers and artists whose work straddles the line between “fine art” and “decorative art”. The book written by Brian Mertens, a Bangkok based writer on Asian art and culture, published by Times Editions / Marshall Cavendish of Singapore and London.
The Thai designers are Khun Suwan Kongkuntien from Yothaga, Khun Udom Udomsrianan from Planet 2001, M.L.Pawinee Suntisiri from Ayothya, Propaganda, P’Jarumchai (my great cousin! :) ) from Pasaya textile, P’Piek Jitrin Jintapreecha and so on.
Congratulation, Mr.Brian and also thank you so much for featuring us in your book.
